Stewardship and Looking to the Future

This week, our Comms Crew has been actively planning for the next academic year, ensuring the foundations of our schools remain incredibly strong. Julie has been meticulously laying the groundwork for the year ahead, orchestrating everything from induction logistics and HR meetings to planning the highly anticipated Jeff Tech High visit to Barcelona in 2026. She has even secured future visits from Australian educators eager to see how we do things. Meanwhile, Ricky has been deep in dialogue with Andy, shaping up Jeff’s Law protocol ideas for Gateshead, proving that our commitment to rigorous, high-quality expedition planning keeps moving forward.

Craftsmanship on the Stage and the Page

This week the team has been all-in on our upcoming Romeo and Juliet production at XP Doncaster. It has been a true Crew effort: Chris engineered a stunning balcony drop, Grace designed the supporting visual assets, Ricky crafted the performance programmes, and Geoff orchestrated the sound design while capturing photography. Beyond the stage, the pursuit of beautiful work continues with Ricky driving the artwork for our milestone 10-Year Book, and Grace putting the finishing touches on the first part of the remarkable staff induction product, guided by Ricky’s expert advice.

Building Community and Championing Activism

Ultimately, our stories are meant to be shared to build our community and champion our curriculum seams. Chris has been rolling out EYFS bin stickers across the Trust – a brilliant, tangible connection to protecting our planet – while also generating Presentation of Learning collateral for Carcroft. Geoff has been editing highlights from Trust events and preparing powerful Alumni interviews for Grace to transform into resources, and sharing our authentic work with community partners like Right Up Our Street and the NHS. When it came to XPD’s Sports Day, the whole team stepped up: Chris and Grace provided brand and visual support, while Geoff teamed up with students from Higher Rhythm to support the tech for the day – another example of how we work alongside our young people, giving them real-world experiences.
