Author Profile

This week, our Comms Crew has been actively expanding our global partnerships, curating beautiful work, and sharing stories that highlight the character growth of our community. Here is a look at what the team has achieved across the Trust.

Global Partnerships

Julie hosted ten inspired visitors from Australia alongside Laura Flaxman, an educator who previously worked with Ron Berger at EL, while also preparing for upcoming visits from Norway and Wales. Geoff amplified our stories by writing and curating press releases about Staff Crew at Carcroft and a product at Norton Infants, and attended a ‘Human Flourishing’ programme meeting for school leaders on Andy’s behalf. Meanwhile, Ricky and Andy collaborated on guidance documentation for XP Unpacked to ensure our strategic communications continue to strengthen our staff and community.

Curating Beautiful Work

Chris led a Trust-wide physical curation effort, setting up the new XPD Arts printer, planning Frenchgate’s EYFS ‘Under the sea’ floor curation with Geoff and Rick, and preparing external prints for Careers and Plover EYFS boards. Working alongside him, Ricky and Grace installed legacy displays in XPD and designed interactive displays, with Grace also trimming art and distributing the milestone ’10-Year Book’ to staff and community partners.

Sharing Stories of Impact

Geoff started editing work on a new documentary on the Trust’s ‘First Week Back’ and helped prepare for the launch of the new Norton Infants website alongside photography captured by Grace. Ricky led an Expert session supporting the Expedition narrative for GT EYFS kids, provided poster design guidance to XPD Digital Leaders, and worked on the plan for XPG’s profound ‘Being Human’ display at Freeman Hospital in Newcastle.
