XP University Digital Badges

XP Trust acknowledges the achievements that staff make in XPU study and in

the application of their learning to their practice. XPU awards a digital certificate for the successful completion of a course that sets out the criteria that has been met and the activities associated with this. This includes evidence of how staff have put the learning into practice.

A unique digital badge is given for every course completed and these can be added to staff professional profiles, in, for example, email signatures, or in professional platforms such as LinkedIn.

The criteria for achievement for each badge offered currently is listed below with the narrative for success.

CREW XPU Course

The holder of this badge has completed a course in XP University, Why and How we Crew, including two case studies: The Purpose of Crew, and How we do Crew.

These criteria have been met:

  • I can demonstrate a secure understanding of the purpose of crew (by writing a short piece of explanation)
  • I can reflect on my own practice and consider how other crew practices could improve my work as a crew leader (through discussion and activities during the training)…
  • I can capture the above reflections in a Crew PEP plan that identifies my strengths as a Crew Leader and my key areas for development and further support.

Narrative:

Recipients of this badge have taken part in a course in XP University, and were certified at XP Trust, Doncaster, UK, by the Chief Academic Officer, Andy Sprakes. Holders of the badge have showed a secure understanding of the purpose of Crew by taking part in a Crew Walk-through, studying the Core Practice of Crew, and discussing two case studies. They have demonstrated a secure understanding of the purpose of crew (by writing a short piece of explanation) and reflected on their own practice and considered how other crew practices could improve their work as a crew leader (through discussion and activities during the training). They have captured the above reflections in a Crew PEP plan that identifies their strengths as a Crew Leader and their key areas for development and further support.

MITAC XPU Course

The holder of this badge has completed a course in XP University, ‘Management In The Active Classroom’.

These criteria have been met:

  • I can explore a range of effective Management in the Active Classroom strategies and integrate them into my own setting.
  • I can document, implement and show how I am using promoting good behaviour strategies to effectively manage students in my classroom.
  • I can show how I am translating SEND, academic data and other student information into practical strategies for supporting their learning.

Narrative:
