As part of our wider plans for developing professional pathways for all job roles across our Trust, we have reviewed and enhanced the strand for Induction at XP.

While the outdoor element remains integral to our induction, we recognise that some staff are teaching Learning Expeditions who have not yet experienced one firsthand. To bridge the gap for those who have not taken part in an induction event like this before, our goal is for everyone (whether in their first year or their fifth) to participate in an Induction Slice. Even if you have taken part in an Induction expedition activity before, you are still able to express an interest.
Each school has been allocated two places for each cohort which will take place as follows:
- Cohort 1: 15th – 17th April
- Cohort 2: 8th – 10th July
The deadline for expressions of interest for Cohort 1 is Monday 16th March 2026. Please liaise with your Headteacher if you are interested in being part of this opportunity.
