XP University was launched in 2022 to ensure that all staff across the Trust have access and opportunities to learn and develop their practice in line with our Design Principles and XP fundamentals which are captured in our Core Practices document.
At XP Trust, we believe that everyone has the right to high quality, purposeful and impactful professional learning. Simply defined, the primary purpose of professional learning is to ensure that:
- we have a shared conceptual understanding of why we do things at XP
- how we do them
- and what it looks like when we get it right.
We believe that we need the strongest understanding held as close to our students as possible to have the greatest impact from our work. XPU is where we do all of our professional learning and teaching, where we learn about XP and how to do it right.
As well as developing leadership through our Case Study Methodology and holding the latest versions of core practices, policies, protocols, handbooks, videos and posters, XPU provides a rolling programme of professional learning opportunities,- sometimes targeted, sometimes optional-for all our staff including face to face and online sessions.
