Last Friday we hosted our second Trust Music and Arts Festival. This year we focussed on celebrating ten years of XP with a day filled with Music, Dance and Art from across the schools in our Trust. All of our primary schools worked with the Phoenix Dance Company to showcase their dancing skills alongside cheerleaders and singers from all the schools. It was a fantastic afternoon that culminated with an awe inspiring parade headed by the New York Brass band reprising the famous Kool and the Gang track ‘Celebration.”

The evening Festival ensued with a repeat of the Dance performances and, on the outside stage, music from XP Doncaster and XP Gateshead students alongside local bands and professional artists.

Our students were superb both those in the audience as well as the performers on stage. It was a telling and powerful example of Crew.

A huge thank you goes out to the large number of XP Doncaster staff who helped to steward and support the event and to the staff from Plover who supported, too. The event and the experiences wouldn’t have happened without this!

Here’s to next year!!!! You can watch the highlights here:
