We are thrilled to share the incredible success story following the change in catering suppliers across our Doncaster schools this April. The shift to Relish has resulted in a significant increase in the number of children enjoying hot, nutritious school meals!
Since partnering with Relish, the total number of children having school meals across our Trust’s Doncaster schools has risen, on average, by an impressive 88 a day!
This remarkable increase demonstrates that the food is now more appetizing and appealing to our pupils. In fact, the demand has been so high at one of our schools that they have had to hire an extra member for the catering team to keep up!
A key benefit of this partnership is Relish’s commitment to encouraging healthy eating at home: they make their recipes available to students and parents through their Parent Portal! This allows families to recreate the nutritious and popular meals they have enjoyed at school, extending the educational impact of the kitchen.
The success of this transition is thanks to the collaborative approach taken by our new suppliers. Relish has met with our schools regularly to ensure the change was well-accepted and to proactively work through any initial ‘teething problems.’
