Projects completed through the summer holidays.
- Green top EYFS has had a major remodel including a lowered ceiling to improve sound and reduce heating costs, New energy saving lighting and controls, expanded automatic fire detection to meet requirements, new hard flooring throughout the messy play area, new hygienic wall cladding in the toilet area, new composite material toilet cubicles and sink units and the entire area had been redecorated by a contractor. This has been a huge undertaking by the facilities team and contractors alike, it is a great example of what can be achieved when we all work together to ensure the end product delivers the brief. Thanks to KOV and the EYFS staff for being available when we needed information, decisions and meetings during the design stages and also ensuring the area was cleared out ready for the start of the works. This project was first conceived back in March to allow everything to take place through summer.
- Plover has had energy saving radiator valves fitted to 34 radiators that previously could not be regulated, this work was completed by our approved heating engineers and will both save energy and make the rooms more comfortable.
- Green Top had some damaged trip hazard paving removed from the quad which was replaced with tarmac by JTA & DHU
- Plover Hall has been repainted by JTA & DHU
- XPD fire curtains have finally been replaced by the builders and are now fully functional again
Summer is also a really busy time for planned maintenance across all sites, this takes huge amounts of organising by MJO & STA as well as school facilities leads to ensure everything runs to plan so thanks to all involved for ensuring all of this work could take place.
