XPose 2019 booking open

Welcome to XPosé!

Our annual conference at XP attracts delegates from all over the world and covers a wide range of education, community and partnership work – in essence – ‘How We XP’.The feedback from previous years has been wholly positive and enthusiastic – it’s always a day of innovation and inspiration.

So, whether individual, school, organisation or business – if you work in and around education, this is for you. From creatives to commentators, researchers to community leaders and supporters …

We will be sending a definitive itinerary out for XPosé in early June, when delegates will have the opportunity to choose key workshops – usually from eight – they wish to attend. However, we know these will broadly cover this year: curriculum, leadership, behaviour and technology.
Relationships (Crew), community engagement, beautiful work and ‘How We XP will also be at the heart of the day.

A student presentation as part of the morning programme, keynote speech in the afternoon, as well as opportunities for networking, also make up the conference day.
Refreshments will be served from 8am and throughout the day – as well as lunch.

We do hope you can join us …

Post 16 launch!

Dear parents and students,

We are launching our Post 16 provision on Monday October 8th at 6pm in XP East. We look forward to seeing you there, as I am really excited to talk to you all about what Post 16 will look like and the amazing opportunities we will continue to provide our students as they become career, life and university-ready.

For those parents who would like a more intimate and questioning forum, with the ability to feed into the design of our provision prior to our launch, I am hosting a parent stakeholder meeting this coming Tuesday 2nd October at 5pm in XP East also.

See you there!

C31 Outward Bound Update!

Firstly, our sincerest apologies you’ve not heard from us sooner! Given we’ve been focusing on our character traits this week, we’ll use integrity and admit… we’ve just been way too busy having fun!

There have been so many learning opportunities so far upon our adventure, the first was how to put bed sheets on a bed! Since then we have:

– Met out Outward Bound instructors

– Jogged and dipped in the lake (a longstanding Outward Bound tradition)

– Jumped off the jetty

– Swam in open water

– Engaged in a variety of team building exercises

Day 1 was pretty exhausting, being back ‘at school’ was a shock to the system for us all; settling down for a bedtime story last night set us all up for a good night’s sleep!

Today we are all off site and will be for the entire evening! This means there will be no phone calls home tonight.

We look forward to sharing our adventures with you upon our return!

Schools Catering Price Increase across XP Trust

Dear parents,

We have recently received next year’s prices from our current catering providers, Doncaster Council Schools Catering Service.

Due to rising food and labour costs, they have significantly increased the price to all of our schools across the Trust.

Even with the schools heavily subsidising this, we may still need to increase the cost per meal for parents to £3.00. We are greatly disappointed to ask this of our parents, but this is a decision we have had to make due to reasons out of our control.

We will continue to work with Schools Catering over the summer holidays to try and bring these costs down, whilst ensuring a high quality meal will be provided to each of our students. We will keep parents informed with any updates on this.

We are exploring other providers, and if necessary, we will look to change providers if a more cost effective offer is available elsewhere.

We will do everything we can to keep the price of school meals affordable to our parents, but we wanted to provide early warning that our prices are likely to increase from September 2024.
